smacked across the cranium
woke up in a lost past
a white dust similar to what chalk has
floats around the room broken windows and sharp glass
many rows of books similar to what sharks stab and skewer
teeth razor cut
crocodile in a sewer
crying false tears that are putrid
the mucus
membranes by my nose become irritated
reminds me of the kid inside in fear of hatred
unaware of patience
arose from the crevices
step out the casket
cob webs and skeletons
legs seem placid
muscle spasms fluctuate as I wander through this chasm
floor of fire feels as if I'm walking on plasma
a door slammed shut at the end of the hallway
suddenly the floor begins falling
reflective of what fall brings
loud and tyrannical the caw of a starling
in the distance
floor cracks like a fissure
running away fast but I gotta be quicker
